Powerbook G4 A1046 Upgrade?

Like most folks these days, money is tight. I'm looking for cost-effective solutions to upgrading my A1046 to give me some more performance without breaking the bank.

I've already upgraded the HD and have 2GB Ram. Where can I go from there? Can I get a faster processor (now have 1.25Mhz)?

No upgrades besides RAM and HDD. Therefore no CPU, GPU or other upgrade unless you exchange the whole Logic Board.

Thanks for the reply. As it turns out, my existing logic board is acting up: no exclamation key, but numeric 1 works. Replaced the keyboard so it must be the logic board.

If I go the logic board route, how far up can I go in processor speed for this model?

for the cost of new logic board plus ram and HD, you're almost at a new MacBook. logic boards run quite expensive.

Yes, its just not worth buying a new logic board. A refurb macbook would be a better option.

I would sell it now while there is some value left in it, if its not doing what you need it to do.

Refurb 13.3" are only 999 right now.
