Thats what im trying to connect (a 2.5"HD to my PowerBook G4) but apparently one usb port isnt enough to power my 2.5"HD. The Y cable the 2.5" enclosure comes with cannot connect to the one extra usb port cause its on the other side and it cant reach.
What can i do, any ideas? A USB hub? Has anyone tried this? What USB hub model is it?

I would take an USB extension cable for the Y-cable to reach the other port...
But then there would be no usb ports left to plug in my mouse, maybe a USB hub is what im looking for!

Thats why I wont call Apple products "pro". Same funny crap on the Macbook "Pro"!
You need ridiculous extra stuff to work with it.
Maybe you should watch out for an external powered hub, otherwise you still need an extension for your y-cable to reach the other side. Because there is no sense to use an y-cable in a non powered hub as you still use only one origin usb port at your mac...
