After being off for about a week when i was out of town I came back and it seemed to be working fine. I was using my magic mouse and all was well. It stopped working and now bluetooth will not come up at all. I have tried PRAM resets several times now and that did not work either. I am at a loss.

When I go to System Profiler > Bluetooth

All it says is No Hardware Found

just to go over the basics, did you check the batteries and on off position? have you restarted your computer?

I can't think of much anything else, you may also check for updates.

as you only did mention its a 17 inch PowerBook but not which one, so i am not sure if you did reset PMU correctly

follow the instruction after you checkt if everything is still connected inside at all ,as it can come lose over time

here the how to reset PMU as it differes completely on the various PowerBooks
