Hello,

I have a PowerBook G4, 1.33, 12". It has been dropped once in its past, but continued to function perfectly until about a year afterwards. Everything still works fine, except for one thing: the CD Drive. At first it started out only accepting a disk half way and then popping it back out again. Now it won't accept a disk at all (like it thinks something is in there already).

The case of the computer does have some bending, but it has been there since the drop and the drive worked just fine even with the bending before. It's not a very urgent problem for me, but I'm just curious to know if there is any way for me to fix it.

Thank you

Yes, it's a similar situation for me - the computer is used often, but the disk drive itself is not used. However, the fact that one of my computers has this problem is a little bit annoying, so I'm just poking around for a bit of info on it.
