As stated on subject, the fan in my PBG4 runs at max speed from the laptop starts, and it's very loud. I have tried to reset NVRAM, PRAM, PMU, but no luck. The laptop is not hot at all.
I have this problem too, I guess it started when the person who owned it before me installed Tiger (I haven't installed Leopard yet). Maybe there is a glitch somewhere in the OS that makes them do this? I have searched online (as I am sure you have too) and tried all the solutions, including g4fancontrol and other apps (cant remember what they were) to no avail.
In fact, it's just going crazy recently, few days ago. The fan is quiet before. I am running Tiger 10.4.11
I am thinking something wrong with hardware, cause the fan always runs at max speed right after the laptop turns on. The good thing is it's very cool now. I am running over 2 hours with Photoshop, and it's not hot at all
