My Powermac G4 1.0 DVI 12” hard drive has completely died. I’ve done some digging to try to find an SSD option, or at least a 7200 RPM drive option, but I’m finding that everything is Out Of Stock and Discontinued.

What are my options at this point to still keep this laptop going? Does anyone know of a stash of hard drives somewhere, or a workaround?

No one is making IDE drives anymore, it's all old stock. So anything you find will be that. eBay is your best bet if you want an actual spinning HD.

mSATA3 SSDs with a $10 IDE/mSATA adapter box (the same size as a standard 2.5" laptop drive) are popular here. I have a 128GB mSATA3 SSD in my 17" PowerBook.
