So my powerbook g4 15inch 1.67ghz is about 2 years old. I have multiple problems with it:

1- memory slot failure (need to send it into apple for a new mobo)
2- dvd burner ejects almost all types of dvd media i put in
3- the palm rests are beginning to have little holes eaten through the metal from sweat

Apple support says they will replace the mobo because of the memory slot failure, but the other 2 problems will probably not be addressed. Also, it will take around 20 days for the computer to be fixed and shipped back.

I paid over $2.5k for this computer and this issues are unacceptable. Do you guys think it is possible for me to get apple to give me a new/refurb macbook or something?

If any one you have had experiences like this, please let me know how it turned out.
