Powerbook G4 likes to sleep...

Has anyone else experienced either of these things.

My first problem is that everytime i open the lid to wake it up, it probably takes a good 15 seconds to give me the password dialog box. Its thinking the whole time. Then i type the password and it lags way behind. Like its trying to process 80 different things at once, when all im asking it to do is wake up. Can anyone explain whats going on here?

My second thing is that every once in a while i open it up from sleeping and it immediately goes back to sleep. So i open it again, get it going, and it does it again. It has done this as many as 4 times before. Its kind of annoying.

Any help would be appreciated....

Yep!

Mine does it too! It really annoys the hell out of me. Also once you have typed in the password it quickly goes back into screensaver mode and you have to enter the password again and again and again...

My only solution short of wiping it and starting again (it was an upgrade from Jaguar to panther) is to use the switch user dialogue and login as someone else, then switch user again.

I know that doesn't help but you are not alone...
