Continuous unplugging has loosened the socket receptor for the A1021 power adaptor. When plugged in, the green adaptor light flashes and the receptor buzzes occassionally, until the connection is stabilized by twisting the adaptor. I expanded the inner metal sheath on the adaptor jack and the connection works better, but there is a touch of unhealthy resitance to plugging in and taking out and but I'm worried about a complete failure.
I'm into my 3rd year of Biology studies and can't be without the computer for the length of time it would take for official Apple repairs. Would it be difficult to stabilize the socket if I (or a local technician) attempted repairs? Is there a separate part that can be replaced?
Many Thanks...
