I'm preparing for a clean install and dual boot of both Tiger and Leopard on a newly acquired PowerBook5.9, the last of the 15" models with 1.67GHz and 2Gb memory.
My other PBooks have Tiger if <800MHz, or Leopard if >1GHz.
Am I advised to install Tiger on the first partition, and if so recommended partition size for both?
Thks.

I normally allow as a minimum with enough elbow room:
20GB for Leopard with Xcode 3.1.4
10GB for Tiger with Xcode 2.5 plus Classic 9.2.2

This will allow room for all my usual apps on Leopard as I tend to load up Adobe CS3 and the full iWork and iLife (not always including GarageBand though as it's a bit heavy for the G4s).

On the three of my ~64GB SSDs in the 12", 15" and 17" PBG4s I have them setup like with 3 partitions;

Partition 1: Leopard ~46GB
Partition 2: Tiger 10GB w/ Classic
Partition 3: Panther 6GB

I tend to just keep Panther on there for legacy stuff and would prefer to use Classic in Tiger when needed.

Following Dronecatcher’s thread about short stroking, I would put Leopard on the first partition as it could do with all speed bumps it can get.
