Hello. I recently purchased a genuine M8482 Power Adapter on eBay for my Titanium PowerBook (specs in my signature). This one is very interesting; it has a silver plug on the end instead of a white one on the newer counterpart A1036 45W adapter. Plus, this adapter was manufactured in 2001, unlike all the other ones (like the A1036) I had with white endings, which were made in 2002 and later.

(I've also seen eBay listings with people using the adapter with a silver ending on Aluminum PowerBooks for years now, but Alum PowerBooks didn't make it's debut until January of 2003).

So where and when exactly did this variation come about? Was it popular? Did it have any history behind it? I'm super curious about it. :apple:
