Hey everyone :). Wow, I haven't been here in a while :p.

My PowerBook 867 MHz Titanium G4 with Mac OS X 10.5.8 is having some issues. Every 15 minutes or so, the trackpad (Or mouse button) no longer responds to anything even though the keyboard works and everything else seems to be fine. After a few minutes it may come back on its own but putting it to sleep for even a second always fixes it (At least temporarily).

Is there anything that I could do to fix it?

When it hangs, does it help if you apply pressure near the touchpad area? I had aluminium PB which did the same and I diagnosed it to be solder failure on a small chip under the touchpad, on the touchpad motherboard. Puttings couple layers of paper to create pressure worked and the issue was gone.

That's one possible cause.
