I recently picked up a 15 powerbook g4 1.67 the lastest rev at the apple store for $1,500. It was an open box. It seems like the transition to intel is going faster than anyone expected. The 17 imac g5 is gone and other ppc macs are limited.

What is everyones thougths on the powerbook g4, good buy, bad buy, should I return it and wait for mac book pro? What is the return policy on open boxes.

Thanks

Depends on what you are using it for and if you need it now. If you want a laptop now and use pro software then its a good buy. Other wise it may be a good idea to wait.

Exactly. I think for most people it comes down to the pro apps. If you use them theres really no point to upgrade right now but if you're just a casual user then you may want to pick up an Intel one.
