I have an TiBook with an IrDa port that I have never used. Was wondering why it is there? (phones or pda's??)

How about a remote for iTunes or a TV. Maybe LightScribe a cd?

I did a search, but came up empty, anyone have a cool use for this port?

I dunno why it was there, but I suppose it might have still been used back when the TiBooks came out.

I tried to use my TiBook to sync with my Newton via IrDA but it didn't work :(

I think everyone is using BlueTooth now...

Thanks for the reply, was hoping to hear how to use my aging pbook as an itunes server via programable remote, or at least sync my Ti-85... guess it's time to buy a new mac, maybe this tuesday
