Powerbook keyboard stopped working

Out of nowhere for no good reason my G4 keyboard just crapped out.

When I type letters nothing happens, the scroll arrows and other buttons work while surfing in Safari, but you can't type letters or numbers.

If you press down on the letters, sometimes it will type out numerical digits like " 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 ......"

I bought it used and I don't think I have AppleCare on it. Grrrrr. Any suggestions?

Did you accidentally turn on Number Lock (F6)?

Did you turn on numlock?

I've done this before, and couldn't figure it out.

press F6 and see if it goes back to normal.
