Did I sell it? Oh no - I talked my parents into letting me keep it. It was rather difficult but, well, it's done. And now, it's all MINE. For those of you unsure about getting a laptop now, don't be unsure. Because they're so, so awesome. The monitors are beautiful, the DVI port is a godsend, and... well, they're just great. Thanks for all the advice folks.

There's no reason to wait to buy an Powerbook.

Glad you finally got up the nerve to confront your parents on this - I think you'll be happy you did, and they'll realize that you're now (closer to being) an adult and that they should start letting go a little more.
