I want to replace the combo drive in my 15" AlBook with a superdrive and would like some advice.

First, is it true that I can take the powerbook and new drive to an Apple store and have a tech swap them out? Has anyone done this? Any info, such as do they charge, how long do they keep it, does it affect the warranty, etc.?

As far as the drive itself, I see that OWC offers what is supposed to be the official superdrive Apple ships here. Is this the only option? What brand/model is this? There is also a Pioneer drive that's cheaper, has more features, and better performance. Will the powerbook accept any slot-loading slimline drive or is it some custom form factor?

Thanks
