It got REALLY hot. I had to snap my hand back after touching it, and my hand was red. I noticed it had turned off, so I went to see what was the matter. It felt hot enough to possibly catch fire. This ever happen to anyone?

Hi,
it happened to my Powerbook g4 15" power adapter. It got so hot that you couldn't hold it in your hand comfortably, also the side of the Powerbook where you plug it in was hotter than normal.I called Apple and got the power adapter replaced.

Apple's power adapters a really nasty things. Very nicely designed but not really good

They're built by Samsung Electro-mechanics. They're not really Apple's fault.
