PowerBook power adapter

I'm going to South America in December along with my lovely 12" powerbook and iPod. I plan on charging the iPod through the PB, but what about powering the PowerBook? I was planning to get a portable surge protector, and some kind of world travel adapter. Will that work for me? Suggestions would be quite welcome.

Apple sells the world travel adaptor kit through their web site. You might want to take a look.
