Will pc2700 ddr333 ram work in an Ibook? Will it simply clock down to work at 266? Thanks for any info.

yes, it should work. I would bet my bottom dollar on it, as long as the ram is as fast or faster than the system you put it in. Give it a shot, if it doesn't work, take it out, no harm done. But I will personally guarantee that it will.
(ddr ram slots, be they 2100 or 2700, are physically the same)

Yes, powerbook RAM will work in an iBook. The RAM in an iBook runs at PC2100, which means that any RAM rated for a MAXIMUM speed of PC2100 or higher will work.

I bought PC2700 RAM for my iBook and it worked fine. (PC2100 was AU$199, PC2700 was AU$189, go figure.)
