Sorry if this has been asked a lot before.

I'm looking at adding another 1GB of ram into my 17" powerbook, the rev before the HD screen. And I was wondering if this is easy to do, and around how much would I be spending. Thanks.

It is fairly easy to do as long as you have the right size screwdrivers. Instructions here.

To shop for RAM, Ramseeker is a good place to start. As you can see, there is a range of prices. The basic divide is between branded (Crucial, Samsung) and so-called generic RAM. There are plenty of threads in these forums to advise you on which type to choose.
