I just made a discovery along the lines of the squeaky books.

I normally run folding 24/7 on my PowerBook since it spends most of the time in my room. I never noticed the squeak that I get whenever folding is not running, and maybe it is a new problem. (Sent it in to Apple over Christmas break to get the screen de-white-spotted, maybe something happened). Anyway, the heater in my room isn't working properly, and so I had to pull away from the outer wall of my dorm room or freeze to death while working on this Flash project. Due to heat concerns, I had to shut folding down so I wouldnst scorch me lap, and I soon noticed the hamsters had gone to work continuously!! Getting frustrated with it squeaking in my lap, I unplugged the adaptor to go put it all back on my desk. Lo and behold, when I unplugged the power adaptor the Book went perfectly SILENT!!! I do still think that I might be able to hear a squeak now and again, but by time I lean over to listen more closely, it's quiet. It seems that if it were a graphics card problem, plugging it in would not make a difference, I think that this is a whole 'nother problem altogether, or at least a combination of multiple problems. Others that report the squeaks, does the adaptor variable effect your computers as well, or is mine the only one like this??
