Powerbook to be used with cisco equipment

Hi,

I have used window for many years and I would like to get into the Mac world; therefore, I would appreciate some suggestions from you guys.
Have anybody ever used a Mac to maintain cisco equipment? If so, Could you provide me with some tips on how get a terminal application? Maintain network equipment is what I do for living. I also need some window based applications but I understand that the Powerbook can handle Virtual PC for Mac without any problems. Am I correct?

I like zterm for the mac, but there is always minicom too.
