Here's a question, I've managed to connect my 12" PowerBook (1ghz) up to the TV with no problems. However, I'm wondering if there's a way to reduce the screen output size below 640x480. The quality is fine, but for movie files which aren't at anything like 640x480, the fullscreen quality is obviously quite lacking. Maybe if I were to connect a USB device up and close the lid ? I ask this but I should really give it a shot... anyhow advice greatly appreciated.

Oh, also if I use a media player like mplayer, set a movie into fullscreen during mirroring, the output format reverts to NTSC mode. Now I've got one tv which doesn't mind and will display both PAL and NTSC but that's a little one, not the big bastard downstairs ;)

Thanks for anything you've got !
