Now that my powerbook display is going to be broken for a long while, ive resorted to using it with a gateway crt for the time being. I followed the insructions for using it with the display closed but i dont have a usb keyboard and mouse. I have the apple wireless set. Ive learned plugging any usb gadget in starts it from sleep, but is there any other way?

It should be possible to wake it with your wireless apple mouse or keyboard. I have a new iMac and it's possible to wake it up with my bluetooth keyboard and even my logitech mx1000 mouse. Under System Prefs>Bluetooth you can check a box to allow bluetooth devices to wake the computer.

Good luck!
