Hello,

I've had a 15" 1.67GHz PowerBook G4 for ages now. I haven't used it in 2 years because back then the metal warped over the superdrive and there's a DVD stuck in there that can't eject because of the intrusion into the drive.

Is there any way I can get this dics out without having to take it to an Apple repairer because I've been quoted $545 to have it fixed. I was also thinking, I need to upgrade to Mac OS X 10.5 as right now it's running 10.4.10. Is there a download for Apple's Remote Disc or something?

Any other suggestions would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

My advice... get it fixed and buy Leopard ;) if you still want to use it (or skip Leopard and stay with Tiger)

You could probably find a guide to fix it yourself

Two years?? :(
