hello,

I have recentley been given a power book and am trying to link my internet network to it. The airport feature can find my network but will not accept my wep (text) or the 16 digit number password both of which i no are correct!.

Am i putting in the right password that its looking for?

I am not that familiar with macs so any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks

Adam

Same problem here ................ with my PowerBook G4!

Try the following, not sure why, but it works for me.

1. Select Join other network. Select 802.1x instead of WEP. Input SSID manually, and login password.

2. You will be connected to the router, but you can't connect to internet yet

3. Again, select join other netwrok again, This time, select WEP and input again SSID manually and password again.

Now you are connected to Internet! But you have to do the same procedure again, if you switch off and on you PowerBook G4 everytime!

May be some experts can tell me why I have to connect in this way!

thanks for the help but still cannot recognise the password when i enter the ssid manually ?

What kind of security does your network use. It's possible the network card isn't compatible.
