OK I am pretty new to Macs and have successfully upgraded my Powermac, 7600 to a 500mhz G3 with 512mb RAM, my question now is would I benefit from a video card upgrade to a Raedon 7000, keep in mind I am looking for general speed increases when doing normal multitasking and running standard apps. I will not be doing any gaming or high end graphics type work on this machine, just wondering if this upgrade would be a noticable difference for my $79?

I assume you are running OS X. If so, you will be bale to turn on Quartz Extreme via a hack that can be found on VersionTracker (just search for Quartz Extreme). This will move much of the GUI processing from the main CPU to the graphics card, leading to faster interface navigation. That said, the PCI graphics cards are not always able to keep up due to the slower PCI bus.
