Is there anyway to get my G3 Blue and White to boot from a firewire HDD? Perhaps from a 3rd party FW card?

Nope, can't boot from a firewire drive in a B&W G3.

In these old bastards, you can't even get the "Option" boot menu :-( No firewire boot, no firewire target disk mode, no USB boot, no boot menu. Absolutely @#$%ing crippled if the internal IDE goes bad.
