Hi, my Powermac G4 dual 1.42 MDD wont power up. I have had this a couple happen when I shut it down but was able to power up after a couple of tries from my ACD (older plastic type), although I had to leave my finger on top of the power button until I see the scree come on, after I hear the fans start up. This time though I have tried for half a day but nothing.
With the case open and trying to turn it on I can see the fan try to spin. I have tried the PMU reset, removing cards, memory etc. The battery has 3.6 volts. Although the other times I was able to start it the times has always been wrong. Will try to buy a new battery but doubt its the cause of all this. Thanks.

Update:
If I leave it for a while then try to start it, I can hear the fans start up but if I let go of the power button on the ACD it stops instantly. I tried just holding the button but after a while it also stops.
