PowerMac G4 not reading Dual Layer DVD

Hey Guys,

I have a G4 Dual 1.25 Tower and its DVD Drive is not reading D/L DVD's. Is it possible to connect my Macbook Pro to it via firewire and use the DVD Drive off the Macbook Pro on the G4?
