Powermac G4 single sided memory issue?

Hi guys,

I just bought 2X PC133 SDRAM 256 sticks for my Powermac Yikes G4, these are single sided. For some reason my powermac only detects them as 128mb each when they should be 256 each....is this because powermac G4 Yikes only support 128mb per side of ram? if so is there any way around this?
