Hi,

I have a pretty old machine which i used to use as the network for my house. Its a powermac G4 dual 1ghz. However today it doesnt seem to boot up. The power light for my monitor is lit up (takes power from the powermac) and when i press the power button on the mac it lights up for quarter of a second but doesnt even attempt to boot up (no noises etc)

Any idea what it could be?

first thing i would do is, pull all the cables out, hit the cuda reset button, wait 10 secs, plug the power and video cables back in and see if it boots, so many times i have seen g3's and g4's just stop working and this usually sorts them out
