Hey guys i bought 2 untested powermacs. Dual 2.0ghz models One of them when i press the button it the fans spin and after 2-3 seconds shuts down. It doesn't have a hard drive connected but i presume that doesn't make the system shut down instantly. Here is a VIDEO of it. Any ideas what may be wrong?

try reseating the graphics card. If the 2 PowerMacs are the same model, try swapping the graphics cards between the two Macs, and try each Mac again.
And, if the two Macs are the same, you should be able to swap parts to make one work. Just keep track of which parts you swap

Hey it turned out to just be the ram. Both machines had a lot of modules and some were bad. Both machines boot now and are fine. Thank you very much.
