PowerMac G5 fan noise

I just got rid of a dual processor G4 mirror door PowerMac because of noise. I have a new 1.6 GB G5 now, and the fan noise is worse than the G4 (which was bad). This one sounds like a bad ballast in a fluorescent light fixture. I know it's the power supply fans, the other ans are silent. Has anyone else experienced the same situation?
