PowerMAC G5 Headphone Output

Have recently purchased a 2.3 DC powermac G5 and have a question about the front headphone output. I use a pair of sennheiser hd580 precision headphones to listen to music mostly everyday. When listening through the headphone port the sound quality is acceptable but the volume output seems pretty low. I know they're reasonably sized headphones to drive and would probably sound louder through some fontopias or something but was wondering if this was a common problem. Well not so much a problem but more of an issue I suppose, maybe I'm just going deaf lol!
