At school, we have two PowerMac G5s (dual 2.0 GHz with 1 GB RAM), both hooked up to Dell 19in monitors. Recently, the screens have been blacking out randomly. For instance, I will be working on a video in Final Cut Pro, and the screen will just turn off (the light will turn orange meaning no connection) for a few seconds, then turn back on.
At first, we thought it was a monitor issue, but when we switched monitors the problem kept happening. Our tech wasn't able to replicate the problem, so he insists it's something we are doing.
Any ideas on what could be wrong?
