Hey guys,

i recently got given a powermac G5 from my girlfriends dad.

but it doesn't work, and im not too sure if its worth the hassle of fixing it.

My girlfriends dad believes it could be either; the power supply, or the logic board.

What do you think?

When i press the 'on' button, a light comes on for a second, but then stops.
The fans also seem to power up for a second but other than that.. nothing happens.

Any ideas?

Let us know what model it is. There's a sticker on the bottom when you remove the side panel, it's just below the clear acrylic air deflector.

It sounds like it can be any number of things but PSU more than likely.
