Hey, guys -
I am a professional videographer/editor/motion graphics & visual effects artist. Lately, my late-2005 (purchased in June 2006) Quad-core G5 has just not been up to snuff when it comes to motion graphics in After Effects (as in real-time updating) and Shake. The Quad currently has an nVidia GeForce 6600 PCI-Express card.
So needless to say, I am in the market for a new video card, preferably with S-Video (or some other video-out, for previewing video on a TV monitor), and looking to spend around $400. I noticed some on MacMall's site at:
http://www.macmall.com/macmall/search/search~id~222900848~search~PCI Express Video Cards.asp
but honestly, I don't have the time or the know-how to tell which one I should get. There are so many that are Mac Editions, or non-Mac Editions.
I just need someone to honestly tell me the best one - again, around $400 and with S-Video out capability.
Thanks so much in advance - I appreciate your response(s).
Michael
