Can my Powermac G5 (Dual 2GHz) machine see a 1TB hard drive used as my primary drive? Also, can I use Time Machine to just image my current drive to the new 1TB drive?

Yes, you can use a 1TB drive.
Kind of. You can use Time Machine to get all your stuff back, but you'll have to install Leopard on the new drive first.
