I've done a lot of reading about how these lovely G5 towers also double as space heaters. And I've seen threads where one guy posts his temperature specs and requests others do the same.
I am concerned about the U3 (mem controller heatsink) temperature. With regular use, the temp stays around 68C to 72C. At times, I've seen the temp go as high as 77C.
Bear in mind that I have reapplied thermal paste (Ceramique 2), but there was no change in U3 temps. I am assuming that this temperature range is normal, so I'm just looking for some feedback/confirmation.
I don't know if it matters, but the CPUs rarely get over 55C. And, I overhauled the LCS over a week ago.
