We know that Sony and Apple both said "this is the year of HD"
We also know that Apple Supports Blue-Ray
Early to mid 06, the PS3 will hit the Market with Blue-Ray drive in it.

Well, intel and Apple are going to be working with each other in the next gen Macs but we know 1st intel said they support HD-DVD but now we see them backing off of that a tad.

Also, we know Final Cut and iMovie support HD editing but hard to dump that on regular dvd (i dont even know if its possible)

So my question is, when do you think the PowerMacs will come with Blue-Ray drives?

I don't think Blue-Ray has even been finalized yet.

I really don't think there's any chance of Blu-ray in the next generation Power Macs, assuming they're released within the next couple months. The one after that may have Blu-ray available, at least as an option. Of course, I think Pioneer does have a Blu-ray drive out now (read about it on Engadget), but it's VERY expensive. Anyway, they're going to be standard IDE drives, so I don't see any reason why you won't be able to put one in a current Mac.

who knows, Apple supports Blu-Ray Intel supports HD-DVD

i say next year something new, that is totally worthless >_> :p

well intel went back now. their now saying "well, we still havent decided yet"

HD is loosing alot of grounds. with Paramount pulling out of their camp and now Warner Brothers rumored to leave too. Only 1 studio remains. Also, all the PC companies support Blue-Ray. this was a bad week for HD-DVD
