Hi all, remember when I posted a request for help, how to load MacOS into an empty G5? This thread.
Ok, now my "inexpensive" (this is what I told my wife and don't you dare tell her otherwise) setup also sports a new SSD (€30) with Sorbet Leopard, and a MIDI-USB cable (this guy, €17), connected to a cheap CASIO keyboard I had laying around the house.
I am not a pianist, I don't even look like one from a distance, and I have zero experience with music production. Having said that, I installed iLife '09 (last PPC version) which comes with GarageBand and I'm now playing around with that!
Keyboard, mouse, monitor, etc are all free hand-me downs. I'm probably running "peak 2005" with my hardware setup LOL
