Hi,
Is it possible to put a C2D processor in the PowerMac G5? Or can the Dual-core PPC G5s run boot camp? I was going to make it a gaming computer, as I will only buy Mac =]..

Thanks in advance!

Neither are possible because the mother board on the PowerMac G5 would not be set to handle the C2D. Also the reason that Boot Camp is possible is because of the switch to the Intel Processor. The PowerMac G5 implements the IBM PowerPC chip. Good for you to only buy a Mac! If you want a gaming machine I would recommend waiting for them to update the Mac Pro and picking one of those up. Then you can have the power of at least four processors (tho most games don't take advantage of this, neither do most apps) and you won't have any problems using Boot Camp as it will be an intel based Mac.
