Is a Powermac G4's logic board interchangeable with a Cube? I mean the PM 500mhz single processor? I heard it was or read it was, somewhere. If so, I can probably fix up a cube I have with shot usb ports with it? Anyone know?

???

You're asking if a ~12" x ~14" logic board will fit in an 8" x 8" cube?

???

Or are you asking about the processor (not the logic board)?

If so... I don't think so. All the processor upgrades that I've seen are specific for the small form factor of the cube.

EDIT: confused.. processor upgrade like this one are for multiple Macs:

http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Sonnet Technology/SG4C1800/

Compatible Macintosh Models:

Power Mac G4 (AGP Graphics)
Power Mac G4 (Gigabit Ethernet)
Power Mac G4 (Digital Audio)
Power Mac G4 (QuickSilver 2001)
Macintosh Server G4†
Power Mac G4 Cube**

**Cube supported by SG4-C1800 only and professional installation is highly recommended.

But the upgrade for the cube is different. More cache? Less cache? Different size? No idea.

Yes.... if you mean the processor..... The bus speed is the same and I have Done it with My G4 Cube and My G4 Sawtooth with no problems. They have been switched for more than 4 years.:apple::apple::):apple::apple:
