Powermat Wireless Charging System for the iPhone 4

Great review. I really liked the idea of the powermat and wanted one for my 3g but could not stand the way it looked. I will be getting one for my new ip4 for sure. It looks pretty good.
 
nice idea but not for my taste. if that case had battery in it, maybe i would have second thought.
 
I'll be interested when it can charge my phone while it's nearby, rather than having to lay it on a mat. That would be true wireless and actually useful. I don't know if thats possible though.

Exactly my sentiments. Don't see the point of this tbh.
 
I received a powermat for my iPhone 4 as a gift. I like the ability to just drop the phone on the charging station and then grab it when I'm ready to go rather than having to pick up the phone and remove the USB cable.

It is just a matter of preference.
 
If it were possible without the case, I'd be impressed. Now, it just looks totally unnecessary.
 
I've used the dock since my original iPhone and never have to unplug anything. Just drop it in to charge and pick it up out of the dock when I need to go out. Now have the universal dock (picked up at the Shack for 29 bucks on sale) if I want to use for music or video out with remote.

Powermat just seems like something to buy cause it's new tech.
