One of my professors posts incomplete Powerpoint presentations, in which we can take notes and fill in the missing information during lecture. I have gotten into the habit of using Control + Backspace to quickly and easily delete words or lines of text. I use this key combination in Word and other Office apps without a problem, but when I use this in PowerPoint, it immediately freezes, giving me the beach ball. I have to force quit and restart the program. This is especially frustrating, because I often attempt to use the combination without even thinking about it, and then I lose all of the notes I have taken since the last save.

I don't recall when the problem first began. It didn't occur until after upgrading to Leopard, and it didn't happen simultaneously with the upgrade. I'm on a MBP, just purchased in October. I believe I have all of the latest updates for OSX and Office. Again, it happens ONLY in Powerpoint, and it happens consistently, every time I use the "optn +delete" combination. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
