I can't find in PP for Mac how to do something that is easy in PP for Windows. Can you help me?

When you insert a photo for a background, there is a box to check off if you want the photo to retain its aspect ratio when it is added. If you don't check the box, a portrait photo widens to fill the landscape slide and huge distortion occurs.

I can't find a way to do this in PP for Mac!! Help, pls!

Thanks.

Hmm. Just tried that and I see what you mean. No option at all. There are a couple of work-arounds:

1) Change the pic in an image editor to the correct aspect ratio by putting your portrait pic in the middle of a black background, save it as a separate image and use this whole thing as the background pic in powerpoint

2) Just place the pic as an object in PP, extend it to the edges of the slide or however big you want it, put it to the back and change the background colour to suit.
