Powerpoint presentations and iWeb

I wanted to upload my pp presentations as a webpage. I followed faq directions and saved the file as html in the same folder of my iweb pages, then I used inspector to link to external page. Here is where I think I am having problems. For the URL, I use the same address as my webpage http://... but added on the powerpoint presentation html as the last part of the address. After publishing, when I click on the link, I get the prompt that the page does not exist. What am I doing wrong? When I open the files folder to see what's going on, it appears that all files with the extension .htm have some kind of error associated with it. I thought if I took out all the animations and sound files and try again, well still having the same problem. Are there any other options to get my pp presentations uploaded to my website through iweb?
