I have heard that you can import PPT slides into the touch as photos and turn them into a presentation. Can anyone tell me how?

You can send them from Powerpoint into IPhoto and make them in to a slide show. Then sync them with the touch.

Keynote

If you have Keynote, import your file and it will give you an option to export the slide show to Quicktime, which can then be easily exported to your iPod.

(File>Export) I believe...

How well does it view on a projector? Can you control it as a slideshow for giving presentations? This is something I want to do as give a lot of workshops.

It works fine. But remember that it is a workaround in that you export your slides to iPhoto and sync copies of each slide and then present it as a slide show. The remote doesn't work so you have to manually advance and pause each slide.

I think I read somewhere here that Apple is going to release a firmware update in June that will allow proper PP presentations.
